AHMTEC combines highly qualified and motivated personnel with state-of-the-art equipment in an ISO-9001:2008 working environment. In order to ensure quality AHMTEC follows a strict protocol on every shipment to obtain maximum satisfaction with our customers.
The AHM-Pipe is manufactured in ductile iron. Ductile iron is not a single material but is part of a group of materials which can be produced to have a wide range of properties through control of the microstructure. The common defining characteristic of this group of materials is the morphological structure of the graphite. In ductile irons the graphite is in the form of spherical nodules rather than flakes (as in grey iron), thus inhibiting the creation of cracks and providing the enhanced ductility that gives the alloy its name. Due to the nodular shape of the graphite the notch effect is minimised. Thereby high values for tensile strength and elongation at fracture are achieved. The formation of nodules is achieved by addition of nodulizing elements, most commonly magnesium and less often, cerium, into the melt.
Current projects in development stage include a turn-key I or J-tube entry system. We hope to have this available in the very near future. Should you have a special protection application, please do not hesitate to contact us. Given our commitment in seeking new solutions, the AHM-Pipe can also be supplied hot dip galvanised or coated to meet customer needs.
